Rosemary Naylor (1921-1993) was born and raised in Argentina, spending a happy childhood on estancias—South American cattle ranches—with her parents and five siblings. As a teen, she attended boarding school in Buenos Aires, and later graduated from Trinity College, London. An accomplished musician on piano and violin, Rosemary became a music teacher back in Buenos Aires before WWII. Thereafter she sailed to England and enlisted as part of the Women’s Air Force, and then went on to marry a Scottish RAF pilot. The couple returned to Argentina after the war to manage an estancia in Tierra del Fuego, and then their travels led them to Canada. Through it all, Rosemary was dedicated to family and worked hard to give her children a good life. She passed her kindness, strength of character, and family values on to the next generation, and it is her spirit that inspires the lives we live and the work we do.
